I remember this being a regular thing as an 80s child. Parents or relatives having a drink coming to or from a gathering and I don’t think I was ever buckled in. It’s crazy more of us didn’t die.

When I was a little kid in the late 70's, my father used to drive around with me while he was dinking all the time. He actually had a special drunk-driving car, an old '63 Ford Falcon that the floorboards were rusted out so you see the road going by as you were driving along in a car with no seatbelts. I'm glad I survived riding around with my father.
