Its annoying as hell also. I used to lurk alot on the mobile version of site through chrome. It worked fine for years, and was actually decent. But like a year ago they started making it harder and harder to just browse. Now you have to be signed in at all times to be see basically anything they deem "nsfw." what makes it worse is that it started with porn and slowly rolled out to anything so you cant even see threads now. For example on askreddit nsfw just wont be shown. And ive had cases on r/gaming where it wouldn't let me see the post as it was "nsfw" despite not being marked as such.

As long as old.reddit works on pc im fine, but if they get rid of that im done with the site. Its garbage with the new layout. They took something that actually worked on mobile and tried to force it onto pc users. makes sense
