I agree it would be cooler, but I don't think it's honestly possible. I used epoxy clay and wire and armature on the inside hands so they weigh quite a bit. But yeah, even if I had metal rods its the same problem with the acrylic tubing in terms of how it would need to be a thicker gauge of wire, anything thin enough to hide behind the LED filament wouldn't support it.

This was my original thought too but the actual "lasers" are LED filaments that are super bendy in nature cause they're coated in silicone. Someone else suggested acrylic tubing but I don't think even that would have worked because the thickness you would need to support the hand would have to be too thick for the thickness I wanted. I opted for the clear rod cause I figured it was the best solution I could think of

Oh I see what you mean. No I definitely didn't know everything when making this project and had to do a lot of research and planning. The circuitry itself I'm still super new to and had to get some assistance in order to have it work.
